Overview

The Plan section in TrackZero helps you create and manage a structured approach to reducing your organisation’s carbon emissions. By setting reduction targets, planning projects, and implementing specific actions, you can track progress and ensure sustainability goals are met.

Plan is split into four tabs: Plan Overview, Near Term, Long Term, and Projects.

Plan Overview

The Reduction Targets card summarises the near-term and long-term targets you've set for each scope, alongside your Baseline Year and Growth assumption. Select Edit Targets to set or update them — see How do I set a reduction target?.

The Pathways chart plots your actual emissions against your target trajectory for each scope, with a toggle to switch between your Near Term and Long Term view.

The Projects card previews your projects by Title, Start Year, End Year, Responsibility, and Status. Select View All Projects to go to the full Projects tab.

Near Term and Long Term

These tabs give a detailed breakdown for each target horizon:

• A Reduction Target card showing the percentage reduction and resulting target figure (in tCO₂e) for each scope, and the total.
• A Plan Summary chart plotting actual emissions against your target trajectory for each scope.
• A Target Emissions Per Year table breaking down, for every year from your baseline to the target year, your Actuals, Target Projections, and the Delta between them for each scope, plus whether that year's target was met.

Projects

Create and manage projects — structured initiatives made up of specific actions — to plan how you'll meet your reduction targets. See Projects and Actions for the full detail.

Reporting progress

Once your plan is in place, your projects and actions can feed into your Carbon Reduction Plan report, helping you demonstrate progress to stakeholders and align with compliance requirements — see Report.
