How do I add custom organisational metrics?

To add custom organisational metrics in TrackZero, follow these steps:

Accessing metrics settings

  1. Click the Settings (cog wheel) icon at the top right of the page.
  2. Select Metrics from the left-hand sidebar.

TrackZero tracks three default intensity ratios out of the box — Revenue, FTE (full-time equivalent staff), and Floor Area — so you can see your emissions relative to the size of your business. Follow the steps below to add further custom ratios.

Adding a custom intensity ratio

  1. Click the Add Intensity Ratio button on the top-right of the Intensity Ratios section.
  2. In the Add Intensity Ratio pop-up, fill in the following details:
    • Name: Enter a descriptive name for the metric.
    • Unit: Specify the unit of measurement (e.g., attendees, kg, litres).
  3. Click Add to save the new metric or Cancel to discard changes.

Managing existing metrics

  • View Metrics: The table displays all current intensity ratios with their Name and Unit.
  • Delete Metric: Click the Delete icon to remove a metric from the list.

Best practices for managing metrics

  • Define clear and measurable metrics that align with your organisational goals.
  • Regularly review and update metrics to reflect business growth and sustainability goals.
  • Archive outdated metrics to maintain accurate reporting.
