How do I add a new site to my organisation?
To add a new site to your organisation in TrackZero, follow these steps:
Accessing site settings
- Click the Settings (cog wheel) icon at the top right of the page.
- Select Sites from the left-hand sidebar.
Sites can also be managed from the Measure page via its Manage Sites pop-up — see How do I add a site? for that route.
Adding a new site
- Select the Add Site button.
- Fill in the site details in the Add Site pop-up:
- Name*: Enter the name of the site.
- Type*: Select the type of site (Head Office, Office, Factory, Warehouse, Store, or Other).
- Floor space and Area unit*: Enter the site's floor space and choose its unit (e.g., sqm).
- Address: Optionally enter Address line 1, Address line 2, Address line 3, City, County/State, and Postcode/ZIP Code.
- Country*: Select the country where the site is located.
- Exclude from calculations: Tick this to default the site's emission records to be excluded from reporting and organisation calculations.
- Click Save to add the new site or Cancel to discard changes.
If your organisation operates from a single location, you can just use "Head Office" as a catch-all. Your subscription tier limits how many sites you can add; if you reach the limit, you can request an upgrade from the same page.
Managing existing sites
The Sites list shows each site's Name, Type, Country, and whether it's excluded from calculations.
- Edit Site: Click the Edit icon next to a site to update any of its details, including its address, floor space, and Exclude from calculations setting.
- Remove Site: Click the Delete icon to remove a site from your organisation.
Best practices for site management
- Keep site details accurate and updated regularly.
- Ensure all sites contributing to your carbon footprint are recorded.
- Remove inactive or outdated sites to maintain accurate records.
