Verifiers
Reviewing records
This page covers how to find the records you've been asked to verify and how to review them, line item by line item.
Finding an organisation to review
When you log in, you'll land on your verifier dashboard, listing every organisation that's invited you, with their sector shown alongside. Select an organisation to open its verification dashboard. If you've been invited by more than one organisation, come back to this dashboard and select a different one whenever you need to.
An organisation's verification dashboard
Once you open an organisation, you'll see its reporting periods, each with a table of assessments showing site, emissions, and how many of the assessment's line items have been verified so far. Each assessment shows a status:
- A green shield icon means every line item is verified and there are no open issues.
- A dashed circle means some line items are still unverified.
- A warning badge shows how many open issues there are, if you've raised any.
If you've raised any issues, they also appear in a Pending Actions list, so you can jump straight back to them once the organisation has responded.
Reviewing a record
Select Review on an assessment to open it. You'll see the record's total emissions and scope breakdown, its details (site, period, assessment used), and a table of every question with its answer, evidence, and a Verification column showing whether each line has been verified, has an open issue, or is still pending.
Select any row to open it for review. Inside, you'll see:
- Item Context: the category, scope, and question the line belongs to.
- Answer: the value or answer provided.
- Accuracy & Statement: how the organisation rated the accuracy of their answer, and any reasoning they gave.
- Supporting Files: any evidence attached.
- Discussions: any existing messages about this item. You can read these, but starting a new discussion from here isn't available to verifiers.
- Notes: a space to add your own notes, visible to the organisation's team.
At the bottom, the Verification section is where you take action:
- If the item isn't marked complete by the organisation yet, you won't be able to verify it; a note will tell you it needs to be finished first.
- Select Verify Answer to mark the item as verified, or Clear Verification to undo it.
- Select Raise Issue if something needs the organisation's attention: choose an issue type (Missing File or Incorrect Data) and add details. This appears on the organisation's own dashboard so they can respond.
How verification is reflected overall
There isn't a single "mark this whole assessment as verified" action. Verification status is simply the count of individual line items you've verified, together with whether any issues are still open. An assessment reads as fully reviewed once you've been through every line item and resolved any issues you've raised.
